Native American Prose and Poetry

There is a journey of spirit between the five different writers of this unique little book of prose and poetry called “With Pen & Feather.” There is a common but understated flow of energy that guides you along through their book. It is not about egos or about material things but about meaning and purpose that can be found in a simple life.

You can feel the hope in their words as they reach out to the reader with their out stretched heart. These are not deeply hidden messages. It is more of a nudge for the reader to take a gentle look within their own soul for more meaning and understanding of life.

Reading this book will not take any effort; but it is it not as simplistic as it might appear. There are deeper things just below the poet’s words that will emerge in time as you re-read some of these.

If you enjoy poetry or prose and want to relax with a thoughtful book then I recommend that you get a copy of this book.

The four contributors of this meaningful collection of stories and poems have provided us with insights into the human mind and imagination. The themes deal with discovery within individuals who find meaning in all aspects of nature and in the interaction of people.

The reader is invited to participate in a number of journeys to find connection with the authors. The intent of the poems and stories is to probe events, to discover the emotional and spiritual messages in things around us, the companions in the creation in which we participate.

Mother Earth continually speaks to us through the happenings which are part of our everyday lives. We need to be attentive, to listen, to reflect. All creative things have their individual spirit. It is up to each of us to discover the messages these kindred creatures offer for our betterment and understanding.

As you read each poem and story, allow the spirit within them to speak to your heart. The lessons are plentiful and valuable.
