This slim book of poems is a dedication to the poet’s daughter. With elegance and verve, Buchanan chronicles the path of the child from conception, birth and growing into a toddler and beyond. He has a gift for finding the perfect verbiage for describing his feelings and love for this baby even before the birth. Heartwarming and a pleasure to read. "The Great-Grandfather" brought a tear to my eye.
