Title: It’s Up to You, What Do You Do? Author: Sandra McLeod Humphrey Publisher: Prometheus Books Reviewer: Karl L. Kruger – AAA Member Reviewer Humphrey continues her series on child ethics and behavior. Like the first book in the series, the author presents twenty-five scenarios, or “parables” as the author calls them, to encourage discussion. Following the format of the first book, a number of questions follow each parable that allows children to explore right or wrong actions and even the rationales behind behaviors. The result is a greater understanding of morality and conduct for children as well as for parents and teachers alike.
Reviewer: Molly Williams – AAA Guest Reviewer *Molly Williams is an elementary school district counselor. Once again, Sandra McLeod Humphrey has created a wonderful resource for teachers and school counselors. This book provides student readers with various scenarios, asking them to think about how they would respond if they were confronted with those situations. This is a very helpful tool to help teach students about values and making choices between right and wrong.
