ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born and raised in California. I live in Oakdale and have been married for twenty-nine years to my wonderful husband, Mark. We have two daughters: Lynn is twenty-seven and Michelle is twenty-five. Both are graduates of California State University at Stanislaus. Lynnís degree is in Criminal Justice and Michelleís is in nursing. Both daughters still live at home with our five dogs, a cat, a rabbit, and two Russian tortoises that currently preside in my classroom.
I have been a Kindergarten and First Grade teacher for twenty years and currently teach at Neil Armstrong School in San Ramon. I have authored math units and presented them at statewide conferences and during staff development days in other school districts. DEATH IS CLOWNING AROUND was my first novel. It was published in 2006. APPLE POTS AND FUNERAL PLOTS is the second in the Liza Wilcox series. It was published in 2008.
I started writing in 2001 when my husband and I were commuting together. Heíd drop me off and then commute to his job in San Mateo. He works on computers and often had to work late. When I started preparing things for my May curriculum in December, the office secretary told me I had to slow down on the use of the copy machine. One night I wondered what to do to keep myself occupied until my husband pick me up. I sat down and started writing. I never expected to love it as much as I do.
I currently have two novels, Riverís Secret and Spirit of Consequence, being considered by agents for representation.
