ABOUT THE
AUTHOR
As a
career college history instructor, Arnie Zimbelman tended to stress the
"human" elements in discussing times gone by. Now retired, he continues
to express his love of the past through historical novels, still placing
major emphasis on how historic events affected the lives of those who
experienced them ~ their joys and sorrows, their tragedies and triumphs.
To date, two of Dr.
Zimbelman's novels have been published: Recompense: Return to
Oberammergau, which tells how the devastating "Black Plague" in
the 1600's led to the world-famous Passion Play still performed
faithfully every ten years in Oberammergau; and Exile from
Jamestown, an account of the first permanent English settlement
in America. Though the books are fictional, both are based as far as
possible on actual historic events. |
